Previous versions
The terms that applied on the day you ordered are the terms that apply to you. So we keep them published rather than asking you to take our word for what they said.
Changes to our legal documents take effect for an existing customer at its next renewal, never mid-term — see section 14 of the Terms of Service. That only means something if the earlier text is still readable, so every superseded version stays here permanently.
If you need a copy of a specific version as a PDF, or a signed one, email info@simplesmoothsafe.com and say which date.

What changed in 1.1
Version 1.1 is a legal review of the whole set. Nothing in it reduces what we owe you. The substantive changes:
- The liability cap now says explicitly that it does not limit liability for gross negligence, and no longer treats loss of your data as a purely indirect loss.
- The warranty remedy is described as your primary remedy rather than your exclusive one, because a clause that strips your statutory rights is not enforceable here and we would rather say so than rely on it.
- The IP indemnity now states its own limit, instead of leaving you to work out whether the general cap applied to it.
- A new continuity licence: if we stop trading, you keep the right to run the version you have deployed. It is granted now, not on insolvency.
- Licensing telemetry is now described in the DPA, because the DPA claims to give a complete list and it was not on it.
- The 90-day guarantee is measured against the product page as it stood on the date of your Order, and go-live is now defined.
- Prices moved from US dollars to euros.
