About Simple Smooth Safe: Dataverse products and consultancy
Dataverse products and Power Platform consultancy, built in Sintra. Published prices, direct access to the developer, and software that runs in your tenant.
What we do
Simple Smooth Safe builds and sells software products for organisations that have standardised on Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, maintains and supports them, and does consultancy on the same platform. There are two products and an add-on:
- PSA Hub — a full professional services suite: time, expense, projects, billing, WIP, profitability, resourcing, utilisation, forecasting and analysis, on native Dataverse tables.
- SSS DocGen — a Dataverse-driven PDF engine where templates are configuration rather than compiled code, so a layout change ships without a release.
- SSS DMS — a document-workspace add-on to DocGen: one workspace for the files attached to your Dataverse records and the SharePoint libraries mapped to them, with a folder convention it enforces. It reads files where they already are and moves nothing. €4,500 per production environment per year on top of a DocGen licence; it is not sold on its own. Consultancy is the other half of the business: Power Platform and Dataverse work, scoped and delivered by the same person who builds the products. We are not a body shop, and we do not resell Microsoft licensing.
We also publish the FAROL Method, a repeatable method for digital transformation in government ministries: five principles, four phases from a three-week diagnostic to an ongoing service factory, and twelve field rules. It sits apart from the Dataverse products.

Who you would be dealing with
Duarte Clemente founded and runs Simple Smooth Safe, a single-member Portuguese limited company. You work directly with the person who scopes the implementation, writes the code and handles support.
We take on a small number of implementations at a time and confirm capacity before committing to your timeline.
Why the prices are public
Each product page lists licence, implementation and change costs so you can assess fit before booking a call.
DocGen and DMS are licensed per production environment. PSA Hub is licensed per user, with a minimum of 15 users. Microsoft licensing and customer infrastructure are separate.
How we build
In your tenant, not ours
DocGen renders in your own Azure subscription. DMS reads your Dataverse and SharePoint in place. PSA Hub is native Dataverse. We operate no service that holds a copy of your data — which is why our DPA opens by explaining that in normal operation we are not your processor at all.
One codebase, never a fork
Client variation is configuration: custom columns, navigation slots, documented API hooks. Never a forked copy of the source. That constraint is the product — it is what lets one fix reach every customer instead of drifting across branches nobody can afford to maintain.
Your configuration is yours
A DocGen template is Handlebars markup and FetchXML rows in your Dataverse, readable and exportable at any time — during a subscription and after it. Same for DMS mappings and PSA Hub configuration. Nothing is held hostage on the way out.
Documented to the level we work at
The DocGen documentation is the real thing: install, tenant setup, template authoring, plugin registration, the deployment runbook and the run costs. Not a datasheet.
Fit and limitations
- When a product is wrong for you. The PSA Hub page carries an explicit "it isn't for you if" section, because without an existing Microsoft platform investment PSA Hub loses a per-seat comparison against a standalone tool — by design.
- Where the limits are. SSS DMS covers one SharePoint site with multiple document libraries. Not several sites. That is on the product page and in the FAQ rather than discovered during implementation.
- Where a compromise exists. DocGen's Dataverse-side client secret is a plain Text environment variable, because the platform request the plugin uses cannot resolve Key Vault-backed ones. It is written on the product page, in the documentation, and in the security summary.
- What is not built yet. DMS is in development and has no published release date, because we would rather give you one we can keep.
Where we are
Sintra, Portugal — Western European Time, which overlaps a normal working day across Europe and reaches the US East Coast in the afternoon. We work with clients wherever they are; the products are administered from your tenant, so there is nothing about them that requires us to be nearby.
Support runs 09:00–17:00 Europe/Lisbon, Monday to Friday, with published response targets by severity.
